Below: This Brown Wood Owl was resting on a branch above one of the roads.

Above: We saw this Large Hawk Cuckoo on the road to the rubbish tip. Each time we approached he would fly off, only to reappear round the next bend.

Below: this Orange-bellied Leafbird posed obligingly for several minutes but the female preferred to hide deeper in the tree and eventually disappeared.
