Birds of Goa
A photographic trip report

All of these photographs were taken during a visit to Goa from 17th February to 3rd March 2002.
We stayed at the Lagoa Azul resort at Little Baga in Arpora, which is on the north west bank of the River Baga about a mile from the coast at Baga. The well known Baga fields are a few minutes walk away, across a rickety wooden footbridge over the river, while the westernmost track up Baga Hill is about 20-30 minutes walk away. It is possible to see 50-100 species of bird without even leaving the hotel grounds.
Click here for my map of the area.

This amends previous maps considerably as new building works have obliterated some dykes and salt pans can be filled in and new ones dug out.
